Thread: Bates Numbering

Hola necesito saber que es y para que se usan los Bates Numbering. Alguien sabe?

I read it is a system to create a unique serial number for every page of a document specially when it is used as a proof in a trial.

As clarab says, it's a way to identify pages in legal documents by identifying each page with a serial number. So during a trial, when they need to read one specific section of evidence, they find it easily by looking up the bate number.

and how it's works ?

You do it with Adobe Acrobat Professional. Go to Advanced>Document Processing>Bates Numbering>Add
There you can choose where to insert the numbers or text you want.

do i need first to convert documents into PDF?

Yes, of course, documents have to be converted into pdf first. Adobe Acrobat only processes pdf files, as far as I know.
