Hola, soy nuevo en el foro.
Buscaba una traducción para este término, ya que las dos que encuentro en la red no me convencen:
"Cortar por lo sano"
"retirarse, antes de tener más perdidas".
Gracias.

Disculpa . Noo lei bien tu pregunta, pensé que querías la traducción de "cortar por lo sano".

Thanks Hebe!
I'm afraid I didn't make myself clear!
What I do want is a Spanish expression for the idiom:
To cut one's losses.
Thanks anyway.
Not at all CHupito. It was my fault. What I would like to know is the context in which you are using the expression so I can help you better. Are you using it as a slang? Becasue the plain translation of the phrase is "reducir pérdidas". However if you are using it as an idiomatic expression I would need some context to pick up the right phrase
Bets regards

I agree with Hebe, "reducir pérdidas" is a good choice.
Do you think it could be "minimizar pérdidas" as well?
