    Hey, JuliaSmith! You're right: expertise and experience are essential elements for legal translation, but also for medical translation, for example. In fact, all technical texts require a high level of experience and expertise from the part of the translator or, at least, the final editor.

    No doubt that legal, as well as all technical translations require a higher degree of knowledge and expertise; however the "article" cited in the original post was actually an advertisement of a translation company and forum policy prohibits advertising and the link has been deleted.
