Thread: Sociedad De Personas = Partnership?

buenos días colegas. quería saber si alguno de Uds. tiene una sugerencia para la traducción al Inglés del Término "Sociedad de Personas"

My problem is that I am not sure about the definition of “Sociedad de Personas”, At the beginning I thought of it as a Company (Sociedad) whose shareholders are individuals (personas) and not other companies (personas jurídicas). I also thought of it as a “de facto” partnership (non-incorporated company). Unfortunately not even the lawyers I know have been able to clarify this issue. If I had a clear understanding of the meaning I would probably be able come up with a fair translation. So far the only thing that is clear to me is that a “Sociedad de personas” (as opposed to a Sociedad de Capital) is a company in which the partners (not the capital) have more relevance; But how do I transmit that idea across in English with a single term? : He ahí mi dilema
