    Default recibo domiciliado

    Can anyone help with an entry on my bank book? An amount has been deducted with the title Recibo Domiciliado, I have checked the dictionary and "domiciliado" is resident of Valencia, so I'm none the wiser. Would anyone know why this money might have been deducted with no prior warning?

    Hi
    Recibo domiciliado (in a bank) means that the amount due in a bill (light, water, etc.) will be extracted from your bank account, so that you don´t have to go to the bank to pay for it...

    I think in USA it´s called on-line bill payment.

    I think they would be the same bill but possibly two different methods of payment.

    If you have authorized the utility company to bill your bank monthly it would be a "débito automático".

    If you set up online payments of your utility bill through a bill payment service like "Bill Pay" the debit might show up as a "Recibo Domiciliado".

    But I also think the two terms might be interchangeable
