In Colombian Spanish "banquina" is referred to as "hombros", "shoulders" in English
Thank you Mariana, I will use "shoulder".
Once I read that uruguayan people use "banquina" for the limit of the walk way...that made myself some doubtful.
Esta palabra se usa en argentina uruguay paraguay y es arcen con acento ortografico en e, margen u orilla, margen de la calzada.
En una carretera, cada uno de los margenes reservados a un lado y otro de la calzada para uso de peatones.
