Pitagoras in English is Pythagoras...you are talking about the greek Philosopher creator of the famous theorem right? I hope this helps
Thanks....
It's being used in the description of a metal tube - do you have any idea what it would mean in those terms?
Thanks again
Hi Elektra,
could you please give me more context? May be the entire paragraph will be really helpful.
Cheers
Jack
As Jack pointed out your best bet is to provide us with some context. The pythagorean Theorem is a very well known mathematical equation but it is generally used in the context of angles and i don't see how it would apply to somehting that has round form. If you can provide us with some context.
As described before, they are calling for a metal protection tube and they list the following
Pitagoras, plain end, 12mm ID x 16mm OD x 25mm long (tubo de proteccion)
They are probably refering to the angle of the tube that is 90 degrees. However, it seems that your best bet is to have a visual refernce of teh tube in order to find the best terms to translate.
Thanks for all your help! It turns out they were referring to the tube material (Mullite) How they came up with that who knows?
Hi Elektra,
Learning is a never ending task...
"Mullita" must be the Spanish name for that material, then.
Good luck!
Jack
