    Default Mano!

Mano! (literally means hand, but it is short for hermano, which means Hey brother!)

Simililar to the use of "compa", no? Short for compadre and means "buddy" or "pal" or "bro", etc.

I hear people using ¨gordo¨ allot in this country but they don´t seem to take any offence. Is it normal to call people fat in Argentina?

People in Mexico and Central America use gordo/a as a term of affection. Of course, it means chubby or fat as well in those countries but taken in context it is not offensive if a relative or friend means it affectionately.

...and, if said as a term of affection, the person to whom it is being said does not necessarily have to be fat or overweight.
