Hey Chris.
I'm wondering if this is some sort of U.S. or U.K. version of Spanish. W is rarely used in Spanish. In fact, unless it's been inserted in recent years it isn't in the alphabet. Maybe it's spelled jua-jua; gua-gua; hua-hua? We need a native speaker here.

Hi, I have understood that "wawa" (or "guagua") is a Chilean Slang for "Baby"
Hi Salvadorm!
Is it actually spelled "wawa"?
vicente
Hi Vincente,
Was just told it's mainly used in Puerto Rico and also found the following in Google:
Se escribe guagua y no wawa, y eso lo decimos los canarios para referirnos al autobus.
"wawa" (Chilean Slang for "Baby") is a very informal word, so they has not a specific way to pronounce it, from what I've heard, most of the times, they pronounce it as "wawa"
To me "coje la wawa" means: "agarra la moto". I dont know how to say in English (catch the motorbike ?) but wawa means: motorbike. Also means: girlfriend, "esperando a mi wawa", "waiting for my girl".
I guess depending on the country this word can have many meanings. I must of admit I have never heard a motorbike or a girl called "wawa"
Perhaps is not the same "wawa" and "guagua". For example, for google translator "guagua" is Bus in Spanish to English. Something weird because is not an universal word.
Hola Jonatane
Sorry this is off-topic but regarding the use of "an" before universal, maybe it was a typo, but just in case...
This is an exception to the use of an before a vowel. When u makes the same sound as the y in you, or o makes the same sound as w in won, then a is used. Also, when eu makes the same sound as y, or when e by itself makes the same sound as y, then likewise use a, as a union, a universe
I hope this is useful to our translators.
