    Default Chabon

So I was at work and used the word "chabon" and my boss got offended. Is this a derogatory word in Spanish? I thought it meant dude.

yeah, "Chabón" is a very informal word

I don't know a similar for "Chabon", I think "Punk" but is very offensive.

Oh okay, I thought it was more like dude then punk. So it does have a negative connotation... opps!! I guess I owe my boss an apology.

    Thanks!

Well, I don't think it'd be as offensive as punk, but would you call your boss dude in the States? I don't think so, unless you worked at a surf shop or something... dude.
