Could anyone please help me to translate this quote?
Could anyone please help me to translate this quote?
I translate this as "Stay with the one who wins (conquers) you, albeit he/she already owns (has) you."
You might want to wait for a native speaker to weigh in on it.

I find your translation pretty good Vicente. Maybe "stand by "instead of "stay with"... However, I feel like this expression doesnt make a lot of sense in english. We would need a native speaker to help us out, or putting the quote in context.
"Stand by..." is better than stay with.
I agree that in English it doesn't make much sense. It is certainly not the way a native English-speaker would phrase the thought.
Maybe something like "Stand by (or stick with) the one who won your heart."

Conquer in this case is like saying "the person who wins your heart" over and over again
I agree with mem286, but can someone explain me what this would mean: "Stand by the one who won your heart, albeit he/she already owns you." I have to say i dont get the gist...
Like we said earlier, it doesn't make much sense in English but my best guess is that it means: don't look for greener pastures, i.e., do not look for, or expect to find, someone better than the one who has already won you.

This snippet is a little too short to translate authoritatively, IMO. In addition, the thought by itself does not seem to be logical.
As is, it seems to merit a loose translation, like "Stay with the person who won you over even though they already have you". Context may dictate a slight variation.
I feel the meaning in Spanish is:
Stay with the one who still loves you everyday: love is an everyday attitude.
I'm afraid a literal translation does not sound quite well in this case.
I remember this:
Close your eyes, give me your hand, darling.
Do you feel my heart beating?
Do you understand? Do you feel the same?
Am I only dreaming? Is this burning, an eternal flame?

reminder! coincido con el sentido que le vas dando a la frase para su traducción --- Stay with the one who still loves you everyday: love is an everyday attitude.
Pero, me resulta un poco aparatoso traducir la frase de forma literal como vimos en otros post, creo que hay que darle otro sentido, como mas conciso, tal vez un hablante nativo de inglés sepa cual es el dicho que se ajusta!
