    Default Pago a término, en término o en fecha

    Dear collegues, How would you translate "on-time payment." Using concordance, I've found "pago en fecha" within the TM, but something tells me it should be more "pago a término" or "pago en término."

    I found Jennifer Cooper's Glosario de términos económicos in Google Books that uses "pago a término" for "payment on due date." However, Morry Sofer's Spanish Business Dictionary states that this term shows a local flavor from Argentina.

    Proz's forum shows one entry pago en término o pago a término > pago en término es más frecuente but not clear enough to help me make up my mind.

    Any help will be highly appreciated!

    Si bien Proz dice que Pago en término es más frecuente, me resulta mucho más familiar Pago a término.
    De hecho en Google hay muchas más entradas (28 millones contra 1,6M)

    He consultado el diccionario de la RAE y no veo que ninguna de estas posibles traducciones sea incorrecta.

    Personalmente, prefiero en fecha, es decir, el pago fue efectuado dentro del plazo establecido.

    La expresión a término la escucho mucho en el ámbito médico, embarazo a término, y es un excelente ejemplo del uso correcto de término en su primera acepción: último punto hasta donde se extiende algo. Se señala la locución verbal llevar a término que significa llevar a cabo.

    En el diccionario de la RAE, también aparece la expresión en primer término, es decir, primeramente.

    Por lo general, las expresiones precedidas por la preposición "a" son anglicismos (de acuerdo a..., en relación a...). Por lo que yo me decantaría por "en fecha".
