Thread: What is textspeak?

I was talking to a friend about how the new generationīs writing skill has devolved in such a way that looked like a new language has been invented.
In short terms, nowadays, we see "textspeak" so commonly used that has become such a trendy stuff.

Anyone knows how to translate this fancy word?

Hmm I've been doing some research and so far I couldn't find a one-word translation for it.

Some translation engines suggest "texto hablado" as possible option.

Thatīs a great word to add into the Orwell's 1984 newspeak dictionary

I found it as "Lenguaje chat" or "ciberlenguaje" in Spanish (Wikipedia). I'm not a fan of either one...

So I guess there is no official translation for this new baby lol.

"Ciberlenguaje" sounds pretty good, I think.
