Thread: Cuban slang "el jevito" - translation help please

I've heard the term "jevo/jeva/jevita/jevita", and they all refer to a guy or a girl. For example: 'ta linda la jevita' means 'that's a cute/pretty girl' or 'este es mi jevo' = 'this is my man/boyfriend'
In this case it's a guy, so the guy left.
I, too, don't know what 'de pi' means.

The word jevo or jeva, or jevito or jevita means a guy or girl that is almost like a boyfriend or girlfriend. It's like a special friend with benefits that has the potential of becoming a girlfriend or boyfriend....at least that's how the word is used in Puerto Rico.

"Jevito" is not a bad word or anything, at least not in Puerto Rico. It is sort of like "boyfriend". In Puerto Rico, both guys and girls use the term as they would use any other word.

Yes, jevito is like a bf or "hook up." not to be too explicit, but what is 'de pi'?

de pi...could be (spellings aren't correct) pingar. The way it was explained to me Cahona Pingar, was similar to calling some a F*** Pr**k in the uk....so use your imagination a little to fit it into context.
