    Default Translate Cuban Spanish "boricua"

In an English novel, The Dirty Young Womens Social Club by Alisa Valdes-Rodriquez. The real title is blacklisted. She also uses Spanish "sucia" for "dirty young women" that is blacklisted by this forum.

Post Re: Please Translate Cuban Spanish sland "boricua"

    ¡Hola guzpacha! / Hi guzpacha!

No creo que Boricua sea slang. Es el gentilicio usado para las personas nativas de Puerto Rico en español. / I don't think Boricua is slang. It's the proper adjective used for the native people from Puerto Rico in Spanish.
En inglés sería simplemente: Puerto Rican. / In English would simpy be: Puerto Rican.

"Chicas sucias" sería el eufemismo en español para prostituta o acompañante. Y no creo que ninguna de estas palabras esté en una lista negra de uso en correcto español. / "Dirty girls" would be the Spanish euphemism for prostitute or escort. And I don't think that neither of this words are blacklisted to use in correct Spanish.

Espero que pueda servirte de ayuda. / Hope this could be of help.

Are you referring to El club social de las chicas temerarias by Alisa valdés-Rodríguez?

I thought temerario/a meant reckless, rash, taking risks---like wild young women.

Or are you saying that the title in Spanish was edited?

    Hola mariaklec! / Hi mariaklec!

En ese caso, olvídate de lo que dije sobre "chicas sucias" porque no tiene nada que ver. No conocía el título original. / In that case, forget about what I told about "dirty girls" because it has nothing to do. I didn't know the original title.

Temeraria = reckless, bold, audacious, imprudent, daring, temerarious, intrepid.

Me gusta pensar que yo soy un poco temeraria en la vida. / I like to think that I'm a little audacious in life.
