    Hi everyone,
    I guess this is a question to the administrator but I'm posting just in case someone else is in the same situation.
    I'm getting these strange emails and when I click on the link...page not found. too strange! except for one link that takes you to another page with tons of links.

    Sandra T se estuvieron haciendo cambios en el Foro, lo mas probable es que se haya perdido informacion (no deberia haber ocurrido pero pareciera que si) de todas formas, te voy a averiguar mas en profundidad y te aviso.
    Tuviste muchos casos asi?

    Si, recibí varios mensajes de este tipo pero solo durante dos días. En realidad sospeché que hubieran hackeado el sitio porque en algunos casos el link te llevaba a otro sitio con montones de links que no tenían nada que ver con el foro. Me alegro no estarlos recibiendo más y espero que no hayan hackeado el sitio.

    Lo que creo que pasa, es que el foro te esta dando "backlinks" hacia tu pagina web, esto es muy benefisioso ya que asi los motores de busqueda te podran encontrar mas rapido.

    La semana pasada hemos mudado el foro a un nuevo servidor para ofrecer una mejor respuesta y capacidad de operación.
    Durante el proceso, una de las funcionalidades del sistema vBulletin quedo activada por equivocación causando el envío de esos correos electrónicos.
    Esta funcionalidad lo que hace es notificar automáticamente a los creadores de una entrada si son enlazados desde alguna página en Internet.

    Pedimos disculpas por el envío indeseado de e-mails.
