    Default Large Translation Databases/memories available?

I'm wondering if anyone knows of any large databases-of terms in context,or phrases/sentences-available for download.

I know organizations often have them compiled by their translators, but I'm wondering if there are any massive databases out there that are open-source or commercial. Anyone know of any? (subject doesn't matter).

    Hi traducemelo
Are you looking for glossaries or translation memories? For terms in isolation, there is Eurodicautom: IATE - The EU's multilingual term base

    Hope it helps.

You can try this resource, it is a large compilation of phrases and sentences translated by many people, available in several languages:

    Linguee – The web as a dictionary – Spanish/English

Hey, thanks to both. Yeah Linguee is one I use frequently, and kind of along the lines of what I was thinking. Another really good one for terms is elpais .com /diccionarios.

Anyone else care to share their translation treasures?

I tried to access elpais .com /diccionarios but got not results. Is the link complete? I even tried WebFile.com /diccionarios, but it doesn't work.

Hey Andrea, the thing is it's without spaces. I put them there because in some forums you can't put links, and wasn't sure if you could here. But it should work ( Diccionarios en EL PAÍS ). I love that site because it shows you the terms in context, and there's also the thesaurus, very useful.
