Thread: CS4 and Tag editor problems

I have an INX file that I exported from InDesign CS4. I need to translate it with Tag Editor, but when I create the ttx file, most of the text isn't converted to ttx. I checked the source indd file and all the text is editable so it should convert to ttx. I wonder if there is some new feature in CS4 that won't let me convert the text. I'd appreciate some help.

What is the version of Trados you are working with?

Something very similar happened to me this week.
and it wouldn´t give any error message.

all the problem was that the indd file was blocked!, you need to unblock it from the indd, and that´s it!

let me know if this was the same case

I also know there´s another filter to use with trados 2007, to work with indd CS 4...

do you have it?

How can I unblock the inx? Or better, how can I tell if an .inx file is blocked?

Are you talking about the layers? I remember working on projects with Idiom. I needed to unblock layers in order for them to be translatable.

how do you unblock InDesign files??? maybe a little HowTo???

I'm talking about the inx. It's about Ana Laura's comment on how her inx was blocked. If that was my case, I didn't know how to unblock it.

I unblocked it from the Indd, you go to View and you get a little window where you can check or unchecked different options.

I´ll have a better look later and let you know where exactly it is.

You need to unlock the text box. That's the problem i think.
