Hi! Does anybody knows how do I translate, if it is correct, Quesadilla Árabe into English?

Please take into account that I´m gonna use this term on a Menu for a Mexican restaurant located in Mexico City, but is going to be readed by european tourists.

It sounds intriguing and stirs my gustatory interest. Is it a specialty of this particular restaurant? or are they found commonly throughout Mexico City? How are they different from other quesadillas? Please enlighten those of us in the hinterland.

A quick look through google brings http://www.igougo.com/dining-reviews...os_Arabes.html It would seem that Pan Árabe would refer to thick wheat flour tortillas, similar to Mediterranean/ Middle East style pita bread. In the U.S. Midwest some might say Greek quesadillas but let's hear from London or other areas of the UK.

Hi Dennis:

No, it is not the specialty of this restaurant, but they are commonly found in Mexico City at Taquerias. The only difference is that common quesadilla is made of corn tortilla, and Quesadilla Arabe is served on an Arabic-style tortilla. This tortilla has about 20 cm diameter.

Arabian Quesadillas or Quesadillas arabian style.

Does this place have other kind of quesadillas on the menu?
Quesadillas are offered plain or with additional ingredients like huitlacoche, chorizo, chicharron and flor de calabaza among many other.

They could be offered, per say, as Quesadillas de chicharron or as Quesadillas con chicharron, and these could be translated as Chicharron quesadillas or as Quesadillas with chicharron. The additional ingredient shouldn't be translated, but a footnote may be used.
